Lions And Scouting!

  History Revealed!

Past Council Chairman Frank Mauro and his wife, Lion Shirley, met this year with Governor (Lion) Jody Rell to exchange copies of A Brief History of Lionism in Connecticut.
PCC Frank presented a copy, for which the governor wrote the forward, on behalf of  all Connecticut Lions.  The Governor, in turn, presented a personally inscribed copy to Lion Frank.  The meeting was arranged by PCC Bob Gyle, a member of the steering committee who was also responsible for Lion Jodi writing the forward.
Last Year the Lions of District 23C
donated nearly 16,000 hours
and over $386,000 to many worthwhile causes!
Will your Lions be counted this year?
